Since 2009 T-Kartor USA has actively supported the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) mission of delivering quality datasets while continually innovating the workflow, resulting in production efficiencies and reduced costs.
Context
In 2018, T-Kartor USA was awarded an IDIQ Contract to support the Aeronautical Safety of Navigation Mission for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
Scope
The current Aeronautical Features contract entails collecting and managing NGA’s worldwide airfield and vertical obstruction data holdings. Given the global scale and importance for high quality and prompt deliveries, T-Kartor USA has developed tools such as the Odin ESRI Add-in to increase production efficiency while maintaining quality and reducing costs.
T-Kartor USA’s Odin tool allows the analyst to work with 2D imagery in a customizable interface to measure the height of vertical obstructions. Currently utilising a web map-tiling service (WMTS) connection, Odin provides user friendly access to the comprehensive imagery catalogue with customizable options.
Deliverables
The AIRAC based production is streamlined based on a seamless database built from more than 20 data sources using the one-feature-one-time strategy. To date, T-Kartor USA has delivered more than 5200 Airfields and more than 4.4 million vertical obstructions worldwide.
